ISLAND OF NAXOS

NAXOS - PORT

The marina is well protected and you will have to drop your anchor. Space is, however, very tight and it will not always be possible to find room in here during peak season. Water and electricity are available on the quay. The marina is operated by the local municipality and an attendant is usually on hand to help visitors moor. It is probably the most expensive marina in Cyclades.

NAXOS - TOWN

Old town in Naxos is partly walled citadel with labyrinth of narrow streets full of restourants, art or gift shops and bars. It streches alond the harbour around old Venecian castle.

NAXOS - HARBOUR

The commercial harbor of Naxos is its only harbor in the island. A more comfortable option is to anchor off under the break water but the swell and strong gusts make it quite uncomfortable. When the South wind blows the harbor is not tenable.

NAXOS - BEACHES

Beaches in Naxos are different than the beaches in other islands of the Cyclades due to their length. Plaka is the longest beach, located on the western side of the island.   Naxos beaches are with soft sand, crystal turquoise waters and a beautiful view over the neighboring island of Paros.
